Anchorage is Alaska's largest city, with a population of about 260,000 people - over 40 percent of Alaska's population. The Municipality of Anchorage includes Eagle River, and is 1,955 square miles, about the size of Delaware. About eighteen percent of single-family residences sold in the Municipality of Anchorage are in Eagle River, which is 13 miles from Anchorage.
